Peter Mitchell is dropping by the Mornington Library for a bit of a chinwag about his debut novel, Under the Same Moon. This historical yarn delves into the Aussie experience during World War Two, particularly in the Middle East and Java. So, if you are keen to hear about what our blokes were up to without having to dust off your own historical maps, he will be sharing some insights. Turns out, he did his proper research for this one, rummaging through old letters and archival bits, so it is not just a made up story.

He will be covering the bravery and mateship, the inevitable heartbreak of war, and giving a nod to the quiet strength of the families who were holding down the fort back home. He is also planning to spill the beans on the entire writing journey, which, let us be honest, is often half the battle itself. It is free to attend, which is always a bonus, but you will need to book your spot beforehand so they know roughly how many people to expect.
