If you have ever wondered how Emma Davies conjures up those incredible sculptures from what looks like everyday junk, here is your chance to get a bit of an insight. She is running a basket weaving workshop where you will get to rustle up your very own small basket or some other sculptural marvel using repurposed bits and bobs. Do not worry if your current crafting skills are limited to opening a packet of biscuits, as no weaving experience is needed. It is all about having a good yarn, a bit of a giggle, and getting your hands busy in a playful way.

This little session ties in rather nicely with Emma's solo exhibition, Tethered Threads, which showcases her knack for transforming things like baling twine into surprisingly delicate and thought provoking pieces of art. So, if you are keen to see how she spins straw into gold (or at least twine into art) and then have a go yourself, pop along to MPRG in Mornington on Monday 28 July 2025. Things kick off at 1 PM and wrap up at 4 PM, and it will set you back about 50 bucks, plus a small booking fee.
