"The Wimmera is a series of works inspired by my visits (by land and air) to the vast plains and dramatic mountains of the region. An integral aspect of the Australian landscape is the endless cycle of destruction and renewal caused by flood, fire, and drought. I have researched past floods of the Wimmera river, the blackened land after fire and the parched yellow color of prolonged drought."
