PLOS Musical Productions, a local outfit with a long history of bringing musical theatre to the area, are putting on We Will Rock You. You might recall their past efforts like School of Rock, Chicago, or even The Boy From Oz, so they know a thing or two about getting a show on.

This time, prepare for a dose of Queen-inspired chaos. The story follows two rather brave individuals, Galileo and Scaramouche, who are on a mission to rescue rock and roll itself. This is set in a future where, for some inexplicable reason, all musical instruments have been banished. They team up with a group of societal outcasts, the Bohemians, because that's what heroes do in these situations, and proceed to battle the powerful Globalsoft corporation, led by the aptly named Killer Queen. Their goal is to reclaim the iPlanet from this musical wasteland. If a world without guitars or drum solos sounds dire, then this might be right up your alley. The show is running at the Frankston Arts Centre Theatre, 27-37 Davey Street, Frankston 3199, Australia, from Friday 25 July 2025 through to Saturday 2 August 2025. A full ticket will set you back 65, concessions are 60, children under 16 can get in for 49, and a family pass for two adults and two children is 200.
