Dust off that old sewing kit hiding in the back of your cupboard and join us at the Eco Living Display Centre as part of the National Sustainability Festival. It's time to give your clothes a fighting chance against the perils of fast fashion. Dive into the delightful world of hand stitching with Pete Trimble from Pete Sews, who will guide you through the fine art of basic clothing construction and hand sewing techniques, with plenty of laughs along the way.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll get to practice repairing simple tears, mastering the elusive button swap, and perfecting your hemming skills – yes, there will be no more dragging hems. Plus, Pete will share the top secret list of must-have supplies to keep your beloved duds alive and kicking for longer. Bring along a garment in need of some TLC and let's work our magic. All the gear will be provided, so just turn up with your enthusiasm and maybe a bit of coffee to keep you sharp. The cost is a mere five bucks because we're not in it for the riches.
