Get ready for an interesting evening as Jenny Wood's 'Tales from the Inkwell Engine' exhibition has its opening night. You can expect a delightful jumble of illustrated oddities and mechanical musings, all given a charmingly feminine spin. Jenny's unique work appears to bubble up from the sketch smudged corners of her imagination, drawing inspiration from the intricate ingenuity of Victorian inventions, the quiet stories told by worn machinery, and the simple joy of telling tales with delicate ink lines and a generous dash of whimsy.

The opening shindig is happening on Thursday 31 July 2025 at 6:00pm, over at Artisan's Alley, which you'll find at 17 Main Street in Mornington. It's completely free to wander in, and you'll get a chance to meet Jenny Wood herself. Apparently, there will be a few nibblies, something to sip on, and maybe even a surprise or two to keep things lively. If you can't make the opening, the exhibition will still be there for a visit.
