A relaxed pop up African drumming workshop for absolute beginners. No prior experience required, all drums are provided, and you are welcome to show up with nothing more than a curious spirit and maybe a vague sense of rhythm picked up from tapping a spoon. Expect some group beats, a bit of chatter, and the sort of human connection that happens when people try to keep a groove together.

Cost is $20. Sessions run 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on Thursday 25 June 2026 and Tuesday 14 July 2026 at Mount Martha House Community Centre, 466 Esplanade, Mount Martha. Wear comfortable clothes and leave your performance anxiety at the door.
