So, if you've been feeling a distinct lack of sequins, wigs, and autotune in your life, here's a thing happening. On Saturday the 4th of July 2026, from 7pm to about 9:20pm, the Frankston Arts Centre Theatre is hosting a tribute to Cher. Not just any tribute, but one that apparently pulls from her Living Proof World Tour (2002-2005) and the Here We Go Again Tour (2018-2020), which is a polite way of saying they'll cover both the disco goddess and the leather-clad warrior queen phases. There will be live musicians, dancers, and presumably at least one moment where the performer minces down a massive staircase in a headdress that could double as a chandelier.
Tickets are a bit of a sliding scale: full price is $70.50, concession and kids 14 and under are $65.50, and if you drag along three other friends it's also $65.50 each. No word on whether you can bring your own wind machine or if the venue provides one. The whole thing runs for about two hours and twenty minutes, so you'll have plenty of time to perfect your "Believe" pout in the car on the way home. If you're in Mornington or nearby, it's a straight shot down the Peninsula Link to Frankston. Just don't wear a mesh top unless you're ready to commit to the bit.
