On Sunday the 5th of July 2026, from 2pm to 4.30pm, Mark Vincent – Australia's favourite tenor, which is a title he probably had to fight someone for – is doing a thing called "Amore" with the Australian Symphony Orchestra at the Frankston Arts Centre Theatre on Davey Street in Frankston. It's basically a couple of hours of him belting out classics like Besame Mucho, The Prayer, My Way, Music of the Night and a few others that people who don't live under a rock will recognise. Tickets are $95, which is roughly the cost of a nice dinner for two, except you get to sit in a chair and have your ears be very happy instead of eating pasta.
The concert is in two 45 minute chunks with a 20 minute break in between, so you can stretch your legs and argue about whether Pure Imagination is better than Moments of Happiness. It's being conducted by Shannon Brown, a founding member of The Ten Tenors, which means he knows his way around a dramatic pause. If you're in or around Mornington and feel like a drive that won't make you question your life choices, this is a thing you could go to. No pressure, just letting you know it's on.
