Anna Johnston is stopping by Mornington Library to have a chat about her new book, "When Lemons Give You Life". She'll be in conversation with local author Rebecca Fraser, so expect some light banter about writing stories that find a laugh in unexpected places, with a side of food and second chances. Her latest novel follows a retired Michelin star chef who stages a quiet rebellion in an aged care kitchen, rekindling joy and forgiveness while secrets bubble away under the surface. It sounds less like a cookbook and more like a recipe for redemption, with a dash of mischief.

The talk is free, but you do need to book a spot because we don't want a stampede. It's happening on Tuesday, 30 June 2026 from 11am to midday at Mornington Library on Vancouver Street, Mornington, Victoria 3931. No need to bring your own lemon, but feel free to bring a sense of humour.
