If youre around Mornington on a Tuesday morning, pop into the library for a chat with Chris Hammer, the bloke behind Scrublands and a bunch of gripping Aussie crime tales. Hell be kicking around ideas for his new thriller, Legacy, with Rebecca Fraser playing the host. Its the sort of event where you might pick up a tip or two on plotting your own escape from the daily grind.

Books from Farrells Bookshop will be on hand if you fancy grabbing a copy, and its all free, though youll need to book a spot to avoid missing out. It kicks off at 11:30 am and wraps at 12:30 pm on 21 October 2025, right at Mornington Library on Vancouver Street.
