Fancy getting your hands sticky with some proper sourdough action. This beginners workshop on Friday 24 April 2026 from 9:30am to 1pm at the Eco Living Display Centre, The Briars, 450 Nepean Hwy, Mount Martha, walks you through the whole process without any pretentious flour clouds. You will mix, knead and shape your own loaf, then head home with dough set to bake the next day, a starter culture to keep your inner baker alive, and a booklet crammed with all the nitty gritty details. Costs 70 bucks.

Baking your own bread beats shop bought every time, tastes better and means less plastic rubbish piling up in the bin. Just steer clear if gluten and you do not get along, unless you fancy sitting it out with a cuppa.
